ADVANCE is organized and hosted by Mediencluster NRW GmbH, the development agency for the expansion, marketing, and internationalization of North Rhine-Westphalia’s media branches with the specific focus on digital business. After the successful conference debut with “The World after Advertising” in November 2010, MEDIEN.NRW is pursuing its core tasks: supporting and facilitating startup companies and SMEs in North Rhine-Westphalia and interlinking international players in the media business with the regional media landscape. Our premise: The future is digital.

Thierhoff Consulting, the co-host of ADVANCE, advises entrepreneurs and investors in digital media.

 

Thierhoff Consulting has been advising entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate clients focusing on digital media since 2001, looking in particular at growth and (capital) funding processes, as well as business modeling and portfolio development. Through the company’s strong ties within the German and European digital media and investor community, Thierhoff Consulting helps entrepreneurs and founders in all aspects of the founding and capital acquisition processes, be it in the form of banks/loans, venture capital, angel investors or public subsidies and European research and development grants. Thierhoff Consulting has organized and hosted two conferences on the pulse of the German startup and web scene, namely the FreiGeist Web & StartUp Conference in 2010 and StartUp Camp 2009. Both were held in Cologne. These conferences were supported by Google, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, and leading entrepreneurs and decision-makers who offered hands-on entrepreneurial experiences and important information in their talks and workshops. Based on these experiences, the team of Thierhoff Consulting is happy to advance its engagement to a new level: ADVANCE Conference 2011!
