ADVANCE Awards: The nominees have been selected!

57 startups from 15 different countries applied for participation in the exclusive ADVANCE pitching session to compete for the ADVANCE Award and gain investor attraction. Pre-selection was not taken lightly. Here is our choice.

12 excellent European web startups will take part in the competition, presenting their business cases to our jury in closed sessions.

The top three startups (voted by the investor jury at the ADVANCE conference) will pitch on the main stage in front of the congress audience and gain attention from some of the most renowned investors and gatekeepers in digital media and tech. A special prize will be awarded by our partner blackbox. They will invite their favorite founder out of this selection to stay at their Silicon Valley based blackbox mansion for one week. The winner will be introduced to the extended blackbox network and meet movers and shakers from across the Valley.

Club Family (hybrid travel portal for families)

emues (social-driven e-commerce platform for live music events)

Heyduda (pre-school education games for iPhone/iPad)

Just Landed (global platform for expatriate services)

Mobitto (real-time targeting mobile and web application)

MobileBits (multi-platform gaming engine)

MusicPlayr (unified cross-platform music discovery & listening)

Nurogames (mobile social games)

Onefeat (social game based on real-life actions)

ParStream (big data analytics)

Springest („The booking.com for personal & professional development“)

Another slot will be taken by favsol (social media shopping on Facebook) being selected by an external jury of the eco Cologne Web Content Forum 2011.

Many other of the remaining 45 applying startups will elevator-pitch their business case within our Open Pitch Arena on Day2 of ADVANCE.
