Digital Commerce Director / SevenVentures GmbH

As the new Digital Commerce Director at SevenVentures effective July 2011, Ralf Bartoleit is responsible for majority shareholdings and new customer acquisition. SevenVentures GmbH bundles two strategic business areas of the broadcast group: the online holding companies as well as media-for-equity and media-for-revenue-share business.

Bartoleit comes to SevenVentures GmbH from 9Live, where he became managing director in 2008 and was in charge of the station’s national and international business activities. He began at 9Live in 2003, which was then a subsidiary of Euvia Media. After ProSiebenSat.1 took over the station in 2005, Bartoleit initially became program manager and, three years later, was promoted to deputy managing director of 9Live. Prior to his position at 9Live, he headed the dpa office in Moscow in the 1990s, and then headed the political department and was a member of the founding team for FAZ.NET at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Bartoleit studied history, political science, and literature in Hamburg and Mainz. In 2006 he obtained an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen. In addition to German, Bartoleit also speaks English, Russian, French, and Polish.
