Steve Masur is Senior Partner at MasurLaw, an entertainment, technology and venture law firm with clients worldwide. His practice focuses on corporate finance and M&A, content and technology contracts, day-to-day strategic and legal needs. Steve has helped media companies around the world succeed in their internet and mobile initiatives and achieve their strategic objectives. Recent clients include Shazam, Dada Mobile, Out There Media, Liberty Media’s Mobile Streams and Appitalism, and Gothamist. Steve started his practice at Sabin, Bermant & Gould in New York, attended law school at American University in Washington, D.C. and worked at the SEC. At Sabin, Steve worked on large strategic M&A and content deals in the cable television industry. After leaving, he extended this practice into the internet business and worked on some of the most important transactions of the 1990s. In the 2000’s, he expanded into mobile and games, and has remained on the forefront of these industries as they evolve. Steve is a member of the New York and District of Columbia bars. He chairs the New York Bar’s Venture and Technology Law Committee, is on the Executive Committee of the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers (IAEL), served on the Americas board of the Mobile Entertainment Forum and sits on a variety of corporate boards.
