Max currently runs Qwerly, a data marketing company based in London that appends social data to email addresses for over 2,000 customers worldwide. Qwerly is used by Microsoft, Oracle, Mailchimp, The New York Times, Accenture and many others. Prior to Qwerly, Max was a Principal at Atlas Venture, a $2.5B venture capital firm based in London, investing in early-stage software, digital media and ecommerce businesses. Before Atlas, Max co-founded and ran myblog.de, together with Stefan Glaenzer. Max was also a seed investor in Last.fm, sold to CBS for $280M. Other seed investments include OneFineStay (Index), Boticca (ISAI) and Skimlinks (Index). Max studied business administration at WHU Koblenz and holds a doctorate in economics (Dr. rer. pol.) from WHU.
